DeFi Protocol Study Session
A structured 90-minute walkthrough of one Solana DeFi protocol's documentation — fees, oracles, governance, and liquidity risks explained in reading order.
Reserve this sessionWho this is for
Readers who have chosen a specific Solana DeFi protocol — a DEX, lending market, or yield vault — and want to understand its mechanics before depositing funds. You do not need prior coding experience, but you should have read our glossary entry on AMMs or equivalent background.
What is included
- Pre-session review of the protocol's official documentation and GitHub readme
- Live reading session with pauses for questions
- Annotated PDF notes covering fee tiers, oracle dependencies, and known documentation gaps
- 15-minute Q&A buffer at the end
What is excluded
- Investment recommendations or position sizing advice
- On-chain transaction execution on your behalf
- Audit-grade security review (we flag obvious doc inconsistencies, not code vulnerabilities)
- Protocols outside the Solana ecosystem unless agreed in advance
Process
- Submit an inquiry naming the protocol and your main questions
- We confirm scope and send a calendar link within two business days
- Researcher prepares annotated source list before the session
- Session runs in reading order: architecture → fees → oracles → risks → your questions
- Notes delivered by email within 24 hours
Preparation
Skim the protocol's docs page beforehand. List three specific questions — for example, "How does the fee switch affect LP earnings?" or "Which oracle feeds the liquidation price?" Bring a stable internet connection for remote sessions.
Provider
Sessions are led by Min-jae Park or Elena Vasquez, depending on protocol category. Both have led 40+ protocol sessions since 2022.
