Reader stories and session notes

Feedback from people who used our study sessions, workshops, or commissioned briefings — including where we fell short.

I booked the Raydium CLMM session because I could not reconcile the fee tier table with my actual LP earnings. Min-jae walked through three example swaps on paper. The math finally clicked, though I wish we had spent more time on tick spacing.

The custom briefing compared Orca Whirlpools and Meteora DLMM for my use case. Elena flagged that one fee parameter I cared about was not documented — that alone justified the cost. Delivery took six days, not five, which was mildly annoying.

Workshop on constant-product AMMs was well-paced for beginners. My colleague found the impermanent loss section rushed. Fair criticism — we asked too many side questions about stablecoin pools.

— Kenji S., Osaka · Liquidity Pool Workshop, October 2025

Terminology consultation cleared up my confusion between "TVL" and "pool depth" in Solana docs. Short and focused. I would have liked a follow-up email summarizing the terms, but the session notes were sufficient.

Case note: Mapping oracle dependencies for a lending protocol

Reader: Small fund analyst, Seoul
Service: Custom Research Briefing on a Solana lending protocol
Scope: Identify every price feed referenced in the program, cross-check Pyth and Switchboard documentation, list failure modes.

The analyst needed to know whether a position could be liquidated due to stale oracle data during high-volatility windows. Our briefing traced five oracle accounts, noted two that shared the same update authority, and highlighted a 60-second staleness threshold in the docs that the protocol's FAQ did not mention.

Outcome: The analyst used the risk checklist in internal review. They later reported one oracle path they had not previously mapped. No trading recommendation was given or requested.

Case note: First-time LP preparing for a concentrated position

Reader: Individual learner, Busan
Service: DeFi Protocol Study Session on Orca Whirlpools
Constraint: Reader had never provided liquidity before; wanted to understand range selection before depositing.

We spent the first 30 minutes on tick math and price range, then reviewed how fees accrue inside vs. outside the active range. The reader decided to start with a wider range than originally planned — a conservative choice we supported rather than challenged.

Follow-up: They emailed two weeks later to say impermanent loss matched what we modeled on paper. They also noted our office Wi-Fi dropped briefly during screen sharing, which we apologized for.
